Loan & Investment App

Loan & Investment App project overview

MY ROLE · Mobile financial journeys and design system

Loan & Investment App

I designed a mobile experience bringing loans, investments, everyday banking, insurance and bills into one product. I wanted each money decision to stay understandable even when the app offered several services.

01What I wanted to solve

I worked on the home dashboard, borrowing flow, investment purchase and transaction surfaces. The challenge was showing useful context before someone committed money.

02The decisions that mattered

Give the home screen one clear anchor.

I organised the dashboard around the balance and kept a reveal control for privacy.

Explain the product when the screen is empty.

I used the no-loan state to explain borrowing before offering Request Loan.

Show constraints before the commitment.

I surfaced minimum amounts and wallet balance, and labelled investment projections as estimates with their tax status.

03See the work

The screens below show how those decisions came together.

The loan screen with no active loan: rather than an empty balance, it explains what a loan can be used for, daily expenses, personal goals, business growth, above a single Request Loan action

Buying equities: indicative value at maturity stated gross of withholding tax, the minimum investment shown beneath the amount field, and wallet balance surfaced beside the payment method before Buy Now

04What I can show, and what I would test

The published screens document those decisions. I would test whether people understand a projected maturity value as an estimate, and whether the default balance masking helps them in everyday use.
